Anthropic now allows users to run Claude Code via cloud sessions without signing up for the research preview. The company is offering up to $250 in free promotional credits to encourage adoption.
Cloud sessions operate on Anthropic infrastructure rather than a local computer. Users can launch a task, leave it running remotely, and return later to check the results.
Cloud sessions run on Anthropic-hosted infrastructure, so the work keeps going even without your computer running, Anthropic explained.
Users can start a cloud session from claude.ai/code, the Code section of the Claude mobile app, the desktop app, or the CLI using claude --cloud.
These cloud sessions were previously available to select users through a research preview. They are now officially available to eligible subscribers alongside the promotional credit offer.
Anthropic provides eligible Pro users with $100 in promotional cloud session credits. Max subscribers receive $250 in credits.
These credits remain separate from standard Claude usage limits. They apply automatically when a user starts a cloud session.
If you hit a limit locally, keep going in the cloud until your credit runs out, Anthropic stated.
Eligible subscribers can claim the offer from the Claude website by October 7. Any remaining balance expires on November 4.
Cloud sessions count against normal plan limits once the promotional balance runs out. Anthropic does not charge separately for the cloud container itself.
The promotion is restricted to individual Pro and Max subscribers. Participants must have held an active subscription when the promotion started on September 23.
