Meta expanded its AI agent Muse and revealed several new hardware devices at Meta Connect 2026. Muse now supports real-time video chats utilizing customizable avatars. The system also receives its own email addresses and gains the ability to control Mac applications.
Meta plans to run Muse on its smart glasses in the coming months. On those glasses, the AI will turn conversations into actions. Examples include adding items to a shopping list or scheduling meetings.
Mark Zuckerberg unveiled the Muse Charm during the event. This Tamagotchi-like device features a 2-inch display, 5G connectivity, and its own operating system.
The Muse Charm is expected to ship by December. CTO Andrew Bosworth described the device as an exploration. He stated that it does not form the core of Meta's AI hardware strategy.
Meta additionally announced new Ray-Ban Meta Audio Glasses. These remove the camera and start at 349 euros.
The third-generation Ray-Ban Meta starts at 449 euros. A pair of VR glasses will cost $1,299 when they arrive in spring 2027.
Regarding privacy, Meta plans to bring its Private Processing system to the glasses. The system is designed to shield user data even from Meta itself.
The company has not provided a timeline for the release of the Private Processing system.
Muse will run on Meta smart glasses in the coming months.
