Mistral AI has expanded Studio with managed agents and apps, plus new tools for workflows, enterprise context, monitoring and evaluation. The company says developers can use Studio to connect AI systems to business data, run them and inspect what happened.

Developers can build agents for tasks with multiple steps. They can give an agent team procedures, a place to run code and smaller agents to handle parts of a task. They can also set limits on the tools, data and actions it can access. Studio manages the system that runs the agents.

Workflows gain triggers and a visual graph

Studio’s workflows combine fixed rules, agent decisions and human approvals. The update adds triggers from enterprise systems and a visual graph for inspecting a workflow’s logic. Interrupted workflows can resume where they stopped. Teams can also use Mistral Vibe to generate a workflow from a process description, then test and edit its code.

For apps, Studio provides hosting, authentication and access controls. Apps can use agents and workflows, search enterprise documents and draw on shared context. Developers can test locally and deploy an app with one command, making it available through its own link or inside Mistral Vibe.

Teams can choose where Studio runs

Mistral says customers can deploy its models and Studio in their own cloud, a virtual private cloud or on-premises, use Mistral-hosted deployments, or combine environments. Teams can control access to data and tools and require human approval for selected actions. Traces show model calls, tool use and approvals, while evaluations let teams test changes against their own datasets before release.

The company also points to Mistral Large 4, called Le Chonk, for coding, defensive cybersecurity and reasoning over complex documents and business tasks. Mistral says ABANCA, Accenture, Alten, BNP Paribas, Capgemini, CMA CGM and Tata Consultancy Services already use Studio in production. Developers can use the new Mistral MCP server to test locally with Mistral Vibe or another coding agent, then deploy to their Studio environment with one command.

What this means

On October 29, 2026, Mistral AI released the weights for an updated Mistral Large 4 model, citing reported gains in coding, defensive security, and reasoning efficiency. The Studio platform update highlights Mistral Large 4 for coding, defensive cybersecurity, and reasoning over complex documents, listing ABANCA, Accenture, Alten, BNP Paribas, Capgemini, CMA CGM, and Tata Consultancy Services as existing production users. Developers can test locally using a new Mistral MCP server alongside Mistral Vibe or another coding agent, then deploy to their Studio environment with a single command.
