Google has launched a preview of its Connected Apps Platform, giving developers one place to build and manage apps for Search and the Gemini app. The company is also rolling out new Connected Apps from partners including Adobe, Calm and Peloton.
The platform lets developers build an integration for use across both products. According to Google, they can connect through a cloud-hosted MCP server or Android MCP using AppFunctions APIs.
Developers then use the Google Connected Console to register, test and submit an app. Before it is reviewed, they choose whether to make it available in Search, the Gemini app or both. Once an app is live, the console shows traffic, latency and error rates. Google says developers can also manage verified logos and authenticated accounts.
Google is opening the preview in phases
Developers can sign up for the preview now. Google says it will add more developers, markets and Google products over the coming months.

Partner apps are expanding across Search and Gemini
Google says it has launched more than 50 Connected Apps across Search and Gemini, covering uses such as productivity, event ticketing, health and fitness.
Integrations with Adobe, Experian, Localiza and Peloton are live in Gemini. Google says it will bring those Connected Apps to Search in the coming weeks. It also plans to launch a Calm integration across both products.
