Black Forest Labs has released Flux 3 Image. This release represents the image side of the new Flux 3 model family.

New model supports complex editing tasks

The system supports multi-step edits without changing other parts of the picture, according to company claims. The model covers text-to-image generation, image-to-image processing, text rendering, and photorealism. Users can compose scenes using bounding boxes and include up to ten reference images. The system can output resolutions up to 4K.

Commercial options and upcoming open weights

A free demo is currently available online. API access is available at a fifty percent discount through October 8. Companies can license commercial weights to run and fine-tune the model on their own infrastructure.

Shortly before this launch, Ideogram announced its own editing-focused model with version 4.5. That competing system is also scheduled to ship as open weights soon.

An open-weight version of Flux 3 is expected in the coming weeks.
