Waymo has started offering rides to and from Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, the company announced Wednesday. Pickups and drop-offs take place in dedicated “autonomous vehicle zones” at Terminal 1 and Terminal 3.
Harry Reid is the sixth major airport Waymo serves. The company already offers rides at Phoenix Sky Harbor, Nashville International, San Antonio International, San Francisco International, and San José International airports.
The airport service follows Waymo’s public launch in Las Vegas in September. Its service area in the city now covers 24 square miles. Airport rides will initially be available to only a few riders, Waymo said.
Zoox already offers rides at the airport
Waymo is joining another robotaxi operator at the airport. Amazon-owned Zoox already offers rides there, giving travelers a second autonomous ride service at Harry Reid International Airport.

More robotaxis could appear on Las Vegas streets. In August, state regulators approved permits that will allow Tesla and Uber to put thousands of robotaxis on the city’s streets in the next year.
For now, Waymo’s airport rides have limited availability. The company said it will open them to all customers after the initial rollout.
