SpaceXAI launched Grok Bot in beta, introducing an always-on AI agent service designed to act as independent digital teammates. These virtual workers function inside their own cloud-based computer environments. They can log into existing software applications, websites, and workplace tools to finish complex, multi-step assignments independently. A Grok Bot only interrupts users when a task is finished or when a specific human approval is required.
This release marks Elon Musk's AI company pushing further into commercial enterprise features. Rival firms have already rolled out similar business services. Those competing tools include OpenAI with ChatGPT Work, Anthropic with Claude Cowork, and Microsoft with Copilot Tasks. SpaceXAI stated that Grok Bot grew out of an internal prototype. The company previously used that early version to manage office operations, sales outreach, marketing campaigns, and software bug fixes internally.
Users can text these bots from mobile devices or desktop computers just like a human colleague. People can assign projects directly without needing to pre-build complex automation workflows or rigid routing rules first. Workers can run multiple bots at the exact same time. One bot can even act as a manager to oversee other bots handling specialized tasks.
SpaceXAI reported that these autonomous agents can independently message each other to share context whenever different projects overlap. Teams can also place multiple bots into a shared group chat. In that setting, the bots can coordinate their duties and assign task ownership entirely on their own. Grok bots adapt by learning and saving existing workflows. They retain memory of how tasks are performed to mimic a user's personal voice.
The system can follow up on dropped conversations and resume work from older chat threads. SpaceXAI claims the software grows more proactive over time by picking up assignments before users ask and recognizing when situations demand attention. Grok Bot became available in beta starting today. The service is accessible on desktop platforms and iOS devices exclusively for SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra, and Cursor Teams Premium subscribers. Meanwhile, enterprise users and standard teams can sign up for a waitlist to secure future access.
