Physical AI chip developer SiMa.ai raised $150 million in a Series C funding round. The latest financing values the startup at $1.45 billion. Fidelity Management & Research Company and Amplify co-led the round. Alter Venture Partners, Dell Technologies Capital, and StepStone Group also participated.
The new investment brings the total capital raised by SiMa.ai to over $500 million. PitchBook data shows the startup held a $960 million valuation after securing an $85 million Series B round in July 2025.
Krishna Rangasayee founded the startup in 2018
Krishna Rangasayee established SiMa.ai in 2018. He previously worked as the chief operating officer at chipmaker Groq.
The company builds specialized chips and software. These products let drones, robots, cameras, and other hardware run artificial intelligence directly on the device.
The technology offers energy-efficient performance that stops devices from sending data continuously to the cloud. SiMa.ai provides low-latency performance and lower costs compared to Nvidia graphics processing units. The company aims to use these advantages to capture the expanding market for physical AI devices, which includes humanoid robots.
