Nvidia says RTX Spark laptops will be available Friday, October 16. Ahead of the launch, it announced software updates for running AI agents locally, creating content and playing games. The company says the laptops offer up to 128GB of unified memory and 1 petaflop of AI compute. It has not given a price.
A setup screen will let owners choose and install an AI agent when they first start the laptop. Nvidia says GitHub Copilot, Hermes Agent, OpenClaw, Perplexity, Pi and WorkBuddy can recommend a local model and settings for RTX Spark. OpenClaw and GitHub Copilot support MXC, an operating system security technology for agents. Hermes Agent is due to add MXC and Nvidia OpenShell controls by the end of the month.
Nvidia adds a model and local network tool
Nvidia Nemotron 3.5 Bolt 74B-A9B 24GB will be available Thursday, October 15. It is a 74 billion parameter model with 9 billion active parameters, compressed into 24GB. Nvidia says users can run it at launch through llama.cpp, vLLM, Ollama, Unsloth and LM Studio. The company says its training data, weights and recipes are open source.
Nvidia PAIR, a free tool that distributes AI work across compatible computers on a local network, is now out of beta. The release adds RTX Spark support, llama.cpp support and direct model downloads from Hugging Face. PAIR works on Windows, Linux and macOS.

Creative apps and games gain support
Adobe is optimizing Photoshop, Premiere and Substance 3D for RTX Spark. Nvidia says the changes can make some AI, editing, color and effects work up to twice as fast. The Photoshop and Premiere AI optimizations are available in beta, while Substance 3D updates are coming soon. Nvidia Broadcast 2.3 is available now with native RTX Spark support and a tool for applying effects to prerecorded files.
Nvidia says hundreds of games will be available for RTX Spark at launch. DLSS 5 is also due on launch day. A faster version of its AI model will debut in NBA 2K27 that day, with Nvidia claiming frame rates up to 1.4 times higher. The model is scheduled for Hogwarts Legacy on November 5 and Where Winds Meet in late November.
Nvidia’s AI playbooks, which include instructions for setting up an agent, are due Friday, October 16, alongside the RTX Spark laptops.
