Why it matters

Google says producers can now use instruments and effects they build in Flow Music Spaces inside their digital audio workstations.

The facts

  • Google Flow Music now lets producers export custom Spaces as VST3 or AU plugins.
  • Spaces lets creators build instruments and effects with natural language, according to Google.
  • The exported plugins can run inside digital audio workstations, Google says.

Google has added plugin export to Spaces in Google Flow Music. Producers can now take custom instruments and effects made in Spaces into digital audio workstations, the software they use to produce music. The company says Spaces can be exported as VST3 or AU plugins.

Spaces lets artists, producers and songwriters build instruments or effects by describing what they want in natural language. Google says creating them requires no coding experience. The new export option lets producers use those tools within their existing production workflows.

A producer can create a Space in Flow Music, export it as a plugin and run it inside a digital audio workstation. Google names VST3 and AU as the supported export formats. The option is available now, according to the company.

Khris Riddick-Tynes created a custom plugin

Google gave an example from producer Khris Riddick-Tynes, who created a plugin called “No Chaser.” According to Google, it helps make instrumentals and vocals sound sharp regardless of where they were recorded.

Google announced the feature on October 6, 2026. Producers can now export their custom Spaces as VST3 or AU plugins for use in their digital audio workstations.
