Google Cloud is adding three OpenAI models to its model garden. GPT-6 Astra, GPT-6.1 Sol and GPT-6 Luna are rolling out in private preview to select enterprise customers, who can build with them through Google Cloud APIs.
The company says Astra is intended for demanding coding, computer use, professional tasks and scientific research. It describes Sol as an option for agentic coding, computer use and professional work at a lower cost than Astra. Luna is aimed at everyday work at scale.
Customers can use one cloud bill
Google Cloud says customers can choose or switch models based on performance, latency and cost. It says OpenAI model usage will be billed through Google Cloud Marketplace on a single Google Cloud invoice, draw down existing cloud commitments and count toward Flexible Savings Plans across model providers.
According to Google Cloud, prompts, context and outputs for these workloads remain within a customer's designated data perimeter and are not used to train foundation models. The company says OpenAI models run on dedicated Google Cloud infrastructure, while authenticated identities and unified audit logs give administrators visibility into model interactions.

Google Cloud says customers can also connect local Codex CLI and Desktop workflows to its Gemini platform for inference. Zero Data Retention options and Confidential Compute are planned, but are not available yet.
The company says more customers will gain access after the initial private preview. It also plans to make the OpenAI models available in Gemini for business and Google Antigravity, without giving a date for either addition.
