Slack is launching dedicated channels designed for teams to vibe-code alongside artificial intelligence agents. The new feature aims to eliminate the need to switch between multiple tools and conversations.

The Slack Code launch delivers open and project-specific code channels featuring dedicated user tabs. The platform includes tools that compare code modifications and preview HTML outputs prior to deployment.

Users can tag coding agents such as Anthropic’s Claude or Cognition’s Devin when a new feature is needed, a web page requires updates, or a bug needs fixing. The agent then creates a specific code channel to handle the assignment.

Participants maintain full visibility over the dialogue within these spaces. They can review code differences, receive live outputs, offer feedback, and sign off on the output before release.

These specialized channels automatically archive themselves once their tasks finish. They also supply an audit log for recordkeeping purposes.

Slack promotes the capability as a method to treat artificial intelligence agents like human colleagues. SpaceXAI pursues a similar approach with its Grok Bot agents.

Slack Code is available beginning today across all Slack plans. Agents from founding partners like Claude Code, Devin, Vercel Agent, and GitHub Copilot integrate directly with the new code channels.
