Also, the micromobility company spun out of Rivian, says it will begin delivering its first electric bikes after months of delays. The $4,500 TM-B Launch Edition has started moving from its manufacturer to a United States warehouse.

The company expects the first customer deliveries to begin next week and says all Launch Edition orders should arrive between then and September. That schedule follows an original spring target and a later July window that Also missed.

Supply pressure delayed the launch

Also has blamed the delay on stress across global supply chains, including sharp demand for raw materials and electronic components. The company has not identified the specific parts that held up production. Some customers have criticized its communication as deadlines moved.

The TM-B began inside Rivian as a small internal project in 2022. Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe wanted to explore a lighter electric vehicle that could complement the company's outdoor-focused trucks and SUVs. The group worked with LoveFrom, the design firm founded by former Apple design chief Jony Ive, during its early development.

Rivian spun Also into an independent company in March 2025 with $105 million from investment firm Eclipse. The startup revealed the production bike later that year, presenting it as the first product in a wider vehicle platform rather than a one-off bicycle.

That broader ambition includes four-wheel pedal-assist cargo vehicles for Amazon and work on an autonomous delivery vehicle for DoorDash. Those projects could eventually make Also a commercial logistics supplier, but shipping the TM-B is its first chance to prove it can manufacture and support a consumer product.

The launch will test whether a premium price, distinctive design, and Rivian connection can overcome delays in a crowded e-bike market.
