Nous Research confirmed it has raised a $90 million Series B funding round. This latest investment pushes the three year old startup to a valuation of $1.5 billion. The financing brings the company's total funding to $158 million.
Robot Ventures led the new financing round. Additional participants included Nvidia, Union Square Ventures, Menlo Ventures, Samsung, and 1789 Capital. Donald Trump Jr. serves as a partner at 1789 Capital.
Startups target enterprise customers
The fresh capital will fund the company's expansion into the enterprise sector. Nous Research introduced a new offering called Hermes for Businesses. This product allows corporate clients to deploy customized artificial intelligence agents.
These enterprise agents handle multi-step workflows. The system is designed to keep corporate data private and secure.

Open source tools drive usage
The startup is known for developing the open source Hermes Agent. This software has proven popular among developers and individual users.
The Hermes Agent has been cloned more than 24 million times. Nous Research estimates that this usage drives roughly 2.5% of global artificial intelligence token usage.
The Wall Street Journal reported that Nous Research reached roughly $36 million in annualized revenue by mid-September 2026. The startup expects to surpass $100 million in annualized revenue before the end of 2026.
