Anthropic is merging its front end for Claude chat and Cowork. The change removes the need for people to decide which tab to use for different tasks.
The unified interface gives users access to chat, Cowork, and Artifacts inside one window. Artifacts serve as Claude's interactive workspace feature. Claude Design works anywhere within Claude. Anthropic introduced Claude Design in April for website and prototype design.
Customers previously struggled to choose the correct tab for specific tasks. The new design routes requests automatically without requiring users to switch tabs or windows. The update aims to remove confusion about feature selection by using a single front end.
Anthropic is also adding dedicated features for building presentations and documents. Users can ask the AI assistant to create, edit, and present slides. The system can download generated presentations as a PDF or PowerPoint file.
Users can work alongside Claude using the Docs feature. People can create sections, ask questions, and comment on finished parts. Generated documents or slides can be shared through a link and edited on a phone.
Users can ask Claude to start a document on a desktop computer. They can then check task progress using the mobile app.
These features roll out to Claude Pro and Max plans first. They arrive on the web, desktop, and mobile platforms over the coming weeks. Anthropic plans to bring the features to free and team tiers later.
The update follows an upgrade to Cowork's memory layer. That memory layer helps Claude remember user context across multiple chats.
