Adobe is releasing a major artificial intelligence update for Photoshop. The update brings a new optional interface built specifically for artificial intelligence tools.
This new view arrives in beta as the AI Assisted Editor. It gathers all of Photoshop's artificial intelligence features into a single toolbar.
The toolbar includes the prompt-based image editor, a background remover, and an artificial intelligence image extender. Users also gain fresh ways to refine their edits through artificial intelligence.
A new markup feature allows users to draw directly on an image. This action shows the Photoshop artificial intelligence assistant what changes to make.
Adobe explains that users can select areas to recolor, sketch arrows to indicate position, or brush in rough shapes to suggest new elements. These actions occur without the need for a text prompt.
Adobe is also updating its Instruct Edit with Masks feature. This tool permits users to edit a mask using natural language prompts.
The Firefly Image 5 model now comprehends the entire context of an image. Because of this improvement, users no longer need to manually mark every area they want to edit.
Instead, users can simply describe what they want to change. Examples include opening closed eyes or placing a hat on someone's head.
The AI Assisted Editor view is currently launching in beta.
